MARITIMEPOSTS.COM — The Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Animal Husbandry at Universitas Sembilanbelas November (USN) Kolaka will hold the 2026 National Seminar on Innovation, Technology, Industry, and Sustainable Agromaritime Economic Empowerment, titled SINERGI 2026, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Under the theme “Building an Agromaritime Ecosystem: Synergy of Technology, Industry, Community Economic Empowerment, and Sustainability Toward Golden Indonesia 2045,” the seminar will serve as a discussion forum to strengthen connections among the agriculture, fisheries, livestock, technology, and industrial sectors in promoting economic development based on agromaritime resources.

The event is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA) and continue until completion, using a hybrid format. Participants can attend in person at the Ballroom of Hotel Sutan Raja in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi, or join online via Zoom Meeting.

Southeast Sulawesi Deputy Governor Dr. Ir. Hugua, M.Ling., is scheduled to deliver the opening speech. His participation is expected to provide perspectives on regional development priorities and efforts to strengthen the economic potential of the agromaritime sector.

The seminar will feature several keynote speakers from diverse fields of expertise. They are Dr. Ir. Haris Syahbuddin, DEA, Head of the Center for Food Crop Assembly and Agricultural Modernization; Dr. Ir. Muhammad Rijal Idrus, M.Sc., Head of the Climate Change Study Center at Hasanuddin University; and Irwanda Wisnu Wardhana, S.ST., M.P.P., Ph.D., an economic policy expert.

Their participation is expected to enrich discussions on agricultural technological innovation, climate change challenges, modernization of production sectors, and economic policies that support the development of agromaritime industries and community empowerment.

Through SINERGI 2026, agromaritime development is positioned as a strategic agenda requiring collaboration among universities, government institutions, businesses, and communities.

Synergy among these stakeholders is essential to ensure that agricultural, fisheries, and livestock resources are managed productively, generate added value, and deliver broader economic benefits.

This approach is also relevant to regions such as Southeast Sulawesi, which has considerable land and marine resources that can be developed through innovation, stronger value chains, and the application of technologies suited to regional needs.

In addition to advancing science and technology, the forum is expected to provide a platform for exchanging ideas on strengthening the people’s economy, improving industrial competitiveness, and promoting development that takes environmental sustainability into account.

Universitas Lakidende Unaaha is listed as a co-host of the event. Support from several sponsors in the industrial and business sectors also highlights the importance of private-sector involvement in advancing the agromaritime ecosystem.

By connecting innovation, technology, industry, and community economic empowerment, SINERGI 2026 is expected to generate ideas and recommendations that support sustainable agromaritime development while contributing to the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
