We can no longer rely on passive diplomacy. The world is changing rapidly. Yuddy has a geopolitical instinct shaped by direct experience in complex regions

MARITIMEPOSTS.COM – Muhammad Burhanuddin, Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of Garuda Astacita Nusantara (GAN), emphasized that the current needs of the cabinet go beyond political loyalty, requiring measurable capacity and effectiveness.

According to him, under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, the Asta Cita vision demands figures with cross-sectoral competence.

“A cabinet reshuffle is not merely a rotation of positions. It is a strategic necessity. We need individuals with comprehensive capacity—not partial,” Burhanuddin stated.

In this context, he highlighted Yuddy Chrisnandi as a figure with strong comparative advantages.

“Professor Yuddy is truly ‘multitalented.’ He is not only an academic, but also a bureaucrat and diplomat with real-world experience.”

International Legitimacy

Burhanuddin stressed that Yuddy’s global track record is a significant asset.

“Very few Indonesian diplomats receive symbolic recognition such as a commemorative stamp issued by Ukrposhta or official honors from the Ukrainian government. That is not merely symbolic—it represents international legitimacy.”

He added that this reflects Yuddy’s ability to build soft power and strengthen Indonesia’s bargaining position on the global stage.

Geopolitical Instinct

He also noted the growing need for a more assertive diplomatic approach.

“We can no longer rely on passive diplomacy. The world is changing rapidly. Yuddy has a geopolitical instinct shaped by direct experience in complex regions.”

Bureaucratic Reformer

On the domestic front, Burhanuddin underscored Yuddy’s track record as former Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform.

“He has proven himself a disruptor. His budget efficiency policies and the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) system were not ordinary measures—they were systemic reforms addressing the root of bureaucratic problems.”

He added that the courage to overcome internal resistance is a rare quality in government.

Cross-Sector Orchestrator

Burhanuddin also highlighted Yuddy’s ability to manage cross-institutional challenges, particularly in the digital sector.

“Our problem today is not a lack of policy, but weak orchestration. Yuddy has the experience to unify institutions that have long operated in silos.”

Bridging Academia and Policy

As an academic, Yuddy is seen as capable of bridging the gap between research and national needs.

“Too much of our research ends up sitting on library shelves. We need someone who can bring it into real implementation—and Yuddy has that capacity.”

Toward Indonesia Emas 2045

In closing, Burhanuddin emphasized that Indonesia’s future requires a competence-based cabinet.

“If we want to move from stability to acceleration, figures like Yuddy are no longer optional—they are a strategic necessity.”

He added that what the country needs today is a figure capable of bridging government policy with narratives that offer wise and humane solutions—addressing root problems without creating new complexities or controversies.

“The question is simple: do we remain in our comfort zone, or do we dare to choose the best-qualified figures for Indonesia’s future?”

Ultimately, he noted, President Prabowo Subianto will require aides who can accelerate the implementation of priority programs toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
